Brown County Community Unit School District 1 Board met April 24.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
1. The meeting was called to Order by Philip Krupps.
2. The roll call was taken. Roll Call: Blaesing, yea; Blakeley, yea; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea; Hughes, yea; Krupps, yea; McCaskill, yea
3. The oath was administered to all Board members (by President).
4. Select a president pro tem and secretary pro tem. The following were nominated as president pro temp: Philip Krupps was nominated by Roger Fullerton. Roll call was taken to approve nomination. Blaesing, yea; Blakeley, yea; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea; Hughes, yea; Krupps, abstained; McCaskill, yea.
The following were nominated as secretary pro temp: Jennifer Blaesing was nominated by Matt McCaskill. Roll call was taken to approve nomination. Blaesing, abstained; Blakeley, yea; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea; Hughes, yea; Krupps, yea; McCaskill, yea.
5. Questions or comments from the public. Mr. Pete Jenkins suggested to the board his concern of guest having no formal location to reside during the Boards Executive session.
6. A motion by Fullerton, seconded by McCaskill for the Election of Mr. Philip Krupps as President of New Board (upon election, new President presides).
Roll call: Blaesing, yea; Blakeley, yea; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea; Hughes, yea; Krupps, abstained; McCaskill, yea
Motion carried.
7. A Motion by McCaskill, seconded by Heinecke for the Election of Mrs. Jennifer Blaesing as Vice President.
Roll Call: Blaesing, abstained; Blakeley, yea; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea; Hughes, yea; Krupps, yea; McCaskill, yea.
Motion carried.
8. A motion by Heinecke, seconded by Fullerton for the Election of Mr. James Blakeley as Secretary.
Roll Call: Blaesing, abstained; Blakeley, abstained; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea; Hughes, yea; Krupps, yea; McCaskill, yea.
Motion carried.
9. A motion by Blakeley, seconded by Blaesing for the Appointment of Mrs. Tracy Conley as Treasurer.
Roll Call: Blaesing, yea; Blakeley, yea; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea; Hughes, yea; Krupps, yea; McCaskill, yea.
Motion carried.
10. A motion by Krupps, seconded by Blakeley to Reaffirm time and place of regular meetings for balance of Fiscal Year being the 4th Wednesday of every month starting at 6 pm in the Board of Education Office.
11. A motion by Blakeley, seconded by Fullerton to adjourn at 8:39 pm.
