There was one offender released on parole during 2018 that lives in New Canton zip code 62356, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that the released offender was Tristan Miller. He was convicted of a property crime in 2017, when he was 20. He is now 23.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
