Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Brown County?

There were two offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Brown County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that man and woman were released in Brown County. Of these parolees, one is a veteran. The younger parolee was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2009. The other was a 66-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Konnie K. Kelly. She was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2015 when she was 61 years old. She is now 66.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Brown County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
