CITY OF BARRY: Coronavirus Measures Being Taken As Precautionary Measures Of The City

Announcement

City of Barry issued the following announcement on March 21.

This is a message from the City of Barry regarding coronavirus measures currently being taken as precautionary measures. Beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020 through Tuesday, March 31, 2020, city hall will be closed to walk-in business. Staff will still be available via phone (217)-335-2215 or by email at info@barryil.org during normal business hours.

Water payments may still be placed in the secure after-hours drop box or payments may be made through the city online bill pay system on its website, www.barryil.org.

Public Works will be limiting unnecessary public contact as a preventative measure to provide continuing services to the community. We encourage all citizens to follow the recommendations to reduce the exposure risk and those who feel they may be experiencing symptoms to seek appropriate care as needed.

The Barry Public Library will close at the end of the business day Tuesday, March 17 at 6 pm until further notice. There will be no over due book fines during this time.

The City of Barry will continue to monitor further recommendations given by the CDC and other agencies.
