Jacksonville, Illinois
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker recently signed three bills into law, including House Bill 64 regarding the planned infrastructure projects that will re-appropriate the Rebuild Illinois capital plan.
Several imperative infrastructure projects will be receiving the much-needed funding through the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Road Fund. IDOT will grant $2,500 to Jacksonville for flood-damage repair along the Town Branch.
Additionally, Jacksonville still has bits and pieces of a five-phase plan passed in 2012 to repair the eastern parts of town. The plan was made after the 2011 town flood that paralyzed the city's water plant and completely flooded the Rolling Acres mobile estates.

After the 2011 flood, Jacksonville started building the town’s new water plant that is now located on Hardin Avenue. According to WLDS, the Hardin Avenue water plant was completed two years ago.
Jacksonville officials will be receiving over $1 million for various infrastructure projects including many road-resurfacing projects throughout the city. The fund will be given by the Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity.
Jacksonville will receive $500,000 for street resurfacing and new sidewalks for Diamond Street. Moreover, $291,900 will be given for downtown revitalization, and $600,000 for an East Morton Avenue road-repaving project.
Officials say that East State Street projects are getting underway. The East Morton Avenue project will include resurfacing from Main Street all the way to the city limits. West Morton Avenue has not been resurfaced in four years.
