Carthage Elementary School District 317 Board met July 13.

The special meeting of the Carthage E.S.D. #317 Board of Education was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Board President Brent Ufkes.
Roll call: Amy Graham present; Brent Ufkes/present; Luke Burling/present; Robert Menn/present; Andrea Jones/present; Brandon Gooding/present; Trish Markley/present.
Mr. Butcher presented three options as possibilities for return to school in August.
Public comments were heard from Chris Lewis, Ashley Darbyshire and Michelle Hitz. A discussion between the board and the audience was held regarding the return to school options. By a show of hands, the board authorized Mr. Butcher to pursue option 3, “Blended Model – Half Days”.
It was moved by Mrs. Graham and seconded by Mrs. Markley to adjourn the meeting at 8:19 p.m. Roll Call: Mrs. Graham/yes; Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/yes; Mrs. Jones/yes; Mr. Gooding/yes; Mrs. Markley/yes. Motion carried 7-0.
