Bushnell-Prairie City Schools District 170 Board of Education met July 1.

The Board of Education of Bushnell-Prairie City School District met at 5:00 pm in the Library of Bushenll-Prairie City High School with the following members present: McCleery, Miller, Mendenhall, Oakman, Ferguson, and Yocum, and Croxton (briefly; 5:00 pm - 5: 15 pm via remote attendance). There were several guests in attendance.
Public Comments: None
Board members and members of the audience discussed the "Return to Learn Plan" developed by District staff; board members also discussed return to play guidelines issued by the Illinois High School Athletic Association; and administration shared that the alternative graduation date of July 12, 2020 will be cancelled due to the continued restrictions in group gatherings in Illinois. Board member and audience discussion was primarily focused on the mandatory wearing of masks. Motion by Member Mendenhall to approve the "Return to Learn Plan"; seconded by Member Miller. Voting Aye: Mendenhall and Miller. Voting Nay: McCleery, Ferguson, Oakman, and Yocum. Motion fails. Motion by Member Mendenhall, seconded by Member Yocum to adjourn the meeting. All in favor.
