Beardstown Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.
The annual Beardstown cleanup is to removing “bulky-items” from your home: mattresses, box springs, couches, old furniture, and small amounts of construction debris or items not collected during weekly curbside trash service.

Area Disposal can NOT accept the following items:
Tires
Liquid Paint
Batteries
Appliances (white goods)
Yard Waste
Hazardous Material (oil, gas, solvents)
E-Waste (computers, TV’s, electronics)
Concrete
Large car parts
Bring your water bill to The Public Works building at1101 Edwards St. to dump on:
Monday Oct.5= 7:00a.m.-4:30p.m.
Tuesday Oct.6= 7:00a.m.-4:30p.m.
Wednesday Oct.7= 7:00a.m.-7:00p.m.
Thursday Oct.8= 7:00a.m.-4:30p.m.
Friday Oct.9= 7:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
Or until the last dumpster is full each day!
*Only 2 truck loads(or 1 truck and 1 trailer) allowed per residence!
