Pleasant Hill FPD responds to 22 fires in 2018

Pleasant Hill Fire Protection District responded to 25 calls in 2018 - 32.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Pleasant Hill included 22 fires - 10 structure fires, three vehicle fires and nine other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $35,000 in fire loss - or about $1,591 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The Pleasant Hill Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $64,743 in 2018.
