Griggsville Fire District responded to 28 calls in 2018 - 3.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Griggsville included 26 fires - 12 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 12 other fires.

In all, the department saw $1,228,000 in fire loss - or about $47,231 per fire.

The department also received two false calls, including one malicious call and one other false calls.

The Griggsville Fire District had an annual budget of $17,507 in 2018.
