City of Bushnell City Council Met Nov. 2.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

Roll Call

Ald. Donna Coates - P    Ald. Greg Yocum –P     Mayor Robin Wilt – P              Public Works Director Justin Griffith –P

Election

*Mayor Wilt urged everyone to go out and vote tomorrow.

*City Caucus will be held December 7, 2020

Treasurer

*City Treasurer Dan Cortelyou stated that he has sent an email about the audit, but hasn’t heard anything yet.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Coates made a motion to approve the consent agenda, which included the following items:

1. Approval of Minutes from October 19, 2020

2. Approve September 2020 Financial Report

2. Approve & pay October bills.

Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ad Hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*Thursday morning at 10:00 there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the site of the new well.

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Ald. Norton reported that he has heard from the insurance company and if the city plans to Keep the same plan with no changes there will be a %10 decrease in premiums.

Public Works-Street/Sewer/Alley

*Next meeting November 4, 2020 @ 3:00 via zoom

*Public Works directors Justin Griffith stated that the FERC attorney fees were going to run a little higher than originally planned. He asked for permission to go ahead with the increase.

The council agreed with a general consensus.

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*Activity report for October

*Next meeting will be November 9, @ 4:00 at the complex.

*ESDA meeting will be November 9, @ 3:30 at the complex.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Ald. Coates stated that the Halloween party turned out great, lots of businesses participated and are looking forward to next year.

Engineering

*Megan Crook from IMEG stated that the well drilling will be starting next week.

*Hoerr construction will be finishing the SW sewer project next week.

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

*City Attorney Chuck Laegeler stated that the Patty Sullivan case would be going to court on November 10, 2020.

*Laegeler stated he had documents for the Mayor to sign to wrap up the Donny Brush case.

*American Tower has new council and has decided they need to survey the area.

Ald. Lorton made a motion at 5:55 to go into Executive session to discuss e) Pending or probably litigation, pursuant to Sec 2(c) of the Open Meetings Act. Ald. Norton seconded the motion. A roll call vote was made with the results as follows:

Ald. M Howell“aye”       Ald. Lorton“aye”

Ald. Norton“aye”           Ald. Glisan“aye

Ald. Lorton made a motion at 6:09 to return to regular session. Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:
