City of Bushnell City Council Met Dec. 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

Roll Call

Treasurer

*City Treasurer Dan Cortelyou reported on the revenues for the month of November and year to date.

*Cortelyou stated he would start looking over the budgets for next year sometime next month.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Lorton made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from December 7, 2020

2. Accept November Financial Report.

Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ad Hoc (Mayor’s Report

1. Mayor Wilt stated that the two girls at the City Hall have tested positive for Covid and the office will be closed until the 28th of December.

2. Mayor Wilt stated that she getting the Bushnell Bucks for the employees and will be handing them out this week.

3. Mayor Wilt informed council that we need to get a Covid Protocol in writing.

4. Mayor Wilt introduced Kim Pierce of MAEDCO to inform council of our grant news. Pierce Stated that Bushnell was awarded the Local Support Grant, the city had asked for $150,000,

They were awarded $62,105.00. This is all free grant money that will be given to businesses in town. There will be an application that you can download online from our Bushnell Website. We will ask that you download the application and fill it out and either mail it to The City Hall at 138 E. Hail St, or bring inn through the drop box at the utility office or The drive thru. Applications will be taken until January 4, 2021, hopefully checks will be mailed between the 11th – 15th of January. This grant is for non-essential businesses.

5. Pierce also stated that there is another grant of $250,000 for local government agencies to

Use for residential property cleanup.

6. Mayor Wilt thanked Pierce for all her hard work at getting us the grant.

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Nothing to Report

Public Works

*Ald. C Howell updated council on the Brickhouse renovation. After meeting with IMEG & WIRC they decided they can go ahead with the plans already made.

*Ald. C Howell stated the deep well project was going to be weather dependent from now on, They have dug down to 308 ft.

*Justin Griffith reported on the power plant issues. They are in the process of getting the Generators repaired and ready to go.

*TEST director Greg Fulkerson stated that they have had some unexpected expenditures

This month due to the saddles at the R/) plant are disintegrating from moisture over time.

He has new saddles ordered.

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*Minutes from the meeting on December 14, 2020.

*Jeff Rench from ESDA explained they had a slight misunderstanding with the message

That went out over Everbridge. The message was for future references. Rench said they would also be putting out press releases about the covid vaccine.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Ald. Coates stated the Morey house on Dean has two weeks to get their property cleaned up.

*Coates also stated that someone has bought the taxes on the Logsdon property.

*Nothing to report

Contracts

*Nothing to report

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

*City Attorney Chuck Laegeler stated he needed a couple of signatures for the American Tower sale.

Ald. Lorton made a motion to pass the Vicious Dog Ordinance. Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll

Call vote was taken with the results as follows:
