CONSENT AGENDA

1. Minutes of the Macomb City Council meeting held Monday, July 19, 2021 and Committee of the Whole held on Monday, July 26, 2021.

PUBLIC COMMENT – Citizens wishing to address the City Council on matters germane to the agenda of the meeting will be limited to Three (3) minutes and are asked to be brief and concise in making their remarks. Comments submitted by mail or email will not be read aloud but a copy will be provided to each member of the Council and made a part of the minutes.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

1. Consideration to approve the lateral incentive program for the Macomb Police Department. This was discussed at committee last week and final action will be in order.

2. Consideration to approve Amended Side Letter Agreement Between the City of Macomb, Illinois and Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council Lodge #189.

3. Consideration to approve the executive session minutes that need to remain closed. This was discussed at committee last week and final action will be in order.

4. Other unfinished business.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Consideration of an ordinance authorizing the sale of certain personal property (equipment and vehicles) owned by the City of Macomb.

2. Consideration to approve the hiring of (3) Additional Officers Above the Authorized Current Staffing Strength of 24 Officers.

3. Consideration to authorize an Intergovernmental Agreement Between the City of Macomb and Board of Trustees of Western Illinois University for Provisions of Street Repairs to be completed at North Charles Street extension, east of Tanner Hall, on the campus of Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, otherwise known as North Quad Drive. One time payment, up to, but not to exceed $25,000.00 issued upon completion.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

To consider information relative to:

a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act.

b) Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or representatives or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (2) of the Open Meetings Act.

c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (5) of the Open Meetings Act.
