City of Macomb City Council Committee of the Whole Met Aug. 9.

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

PUBLIC COMMENTS – Citizens wishing to address the City Council on matters germane to the agenda of the meeting will be limited to Three (3) minutes and are asked to be brief and concise in making their remarks. Comments submitted by mail or email will not be read aloud but a copy will be provided to each member of the Council and made a part of the minutes.
1. Discussion on the bids received for the demolition of 19 properties for the Strong Communities Program grant through the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
2. Discussion on the acceptance of the Durham School Services Purchase of Service agreement for GoWest and Demand Response Transportation Services.
3. Discussion on the engineering contract for the design of the new Water Treatment Facility. A memo from PW Director Ohrtmann is attached for your review. Discussion is planned.
4. Discussion on an ordinance authorizing the sale of certain personal property (equipment and vehicles) owned by the City of Macomb.
This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.
5. Other business.
Executive Session
To consider information relative to:
a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act.
b) Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act.
c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act.
d)The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(6) of the Open Meetings Act.
e) Pending or probable litigation, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(11) of the Open Meetings Act.
