Dallas City home prices fell in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Dallas City fell by $51,500 while total sales decreased by 60%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $21,500 - a 70.5% decrease over the $73,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Dallas City in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Dallas City for 2019 was $1,056. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,067. This marks an decrease of 0.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.9%.
