The third quarter of 2018: Dallas City experienced a 66.3% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Dallas City fell by $53,000 while total sales increased by 150%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $27,000 - a 66.3% decrease over the $80,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Dallas City in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Dallas City for 2018 was $1,067. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,144. This marks an decrease of 6.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4%.
