How did home prices perform in Carthage during 2018?

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Carthage rose by $3,000 while total sales increased by 14.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 47 homes sold, with a median sale price of $58,000 - a 5.5% increase over the $55,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 41 homes sold in Carthage in 2017.

The median sales tax in Carthage for 2018 was $1,578. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,629. This marks an decrease of 3.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
