July 2018: Home prices in Carthage increased

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2018 in Carthage rose by $12,250 while total sales increased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $84,750 - a 16.9% increase over the $72,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Carthage in July 2017.

The median sales tax in Carthage for 2018 was $1,578. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,629. This marks an decrease of 3.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
