March 2018: Home prices in Carthage increased

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2018 in Carthage rose by $13,718 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $25,000 - a 121.6% increase over the $11,282 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Carthage in March 2017.

The median sales tax in Carthage for 2018 was $1,578. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,629. This marks an decrease of 3.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 6.3%.
