Carthage median home prices rose by 173.9% in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Carthage rose by $80,000 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $126,000 - a 173.9% increase over the $46,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Carthage in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Carthage for 2017 was $1,629. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,608. This marks an increase of 1.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
