Report: A-C Central School District spent $11,521 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at A-C Central Community Unified School District 262 was up 23.4 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cass County school district spent $9,333 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,521 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 479 to 394 students over the same period.

A-C Central's spending in 2019-20 was 20.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
