Flu Clinic Dates Announced

McDonough District Hospital announced two upcoming dates in October for flu clinics inside the MDH Drive-Thru

On Tuesday, October 4, and Thursday, October 13, MDH will offer an all-day flu clinic from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. inside the Drive-Thru. Individuals need to bring their insurance card and ID card.

Flu vaccinations are also available at the MDH Convenience Clinic, open seven days a week. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. (closed from 1-2 p.m. for lunch) and on the weekend 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

MDH Home Health Care will offer a flu clinic in Bushnell at Farmers and Merchants Bank (484 East Main) on Wednesday, October 12 from 9:30-11 a.m. Individuals will need to bring their Medicare card or insurance card.

There is no out-of-pocket charge to the Medicare Part B recipient. Persons with Medicare Part B must present their Medicare card, and MDH will bill for this service. The flu shot is $50 for those ages 18-64, and $85 for anyone ages 65 and older.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends an age appropriate vaccination for the flu. Two flu vaccines will be available, one for ages 18-64 and another for age 65 and older. Anyone under the age of 18 should contact their primary care provider. Participants are asked to wear a short sleeve shirt as all shots are given in the upper arm.
