Illinois state Rep. Randy Frese (R-Paloma) thanked the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce and the Great River Economic Development Foundation for hosting him.
In an Oct. 25 Facebook post, Frese shared his visit to Quincy for a legislative update event.
“Thank you to the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce and Great River Economic Development Foundation for hosting me this morning for a legislative update,” he said. “I’m grateful to the many folks in attendance for asking great questions and for staying engaged in state government.”
Frese was first elected to the Illinois House in 2015, the House website said. His legislative experience includes serving on the Agriculture & Conservation and Appropriations-Human Services committees. He resides in Adams County.
Frese spent some time this summer getting to know District 99, where he will represent the people in the coming months.
"Hello friends!," he posted on Facebook in July, quoted by the Galesburg Reporter. "It’s been a busy season with a lot of work to be done. While I continue to serve the wonderful District 94 constituents, I’m also on the move trying to get to know all the great people in the newly formed District 99. Last week I enjoyed spending the day supporting my friend and fellow legislator Senator Jil Tracy at her golf outing. This year, I’m moving my own outing to Rolling Greens Golf Course in Mt. Sterling! I hope you’ll consider joining me there."
Frese also visited the Adams County Fair in August.
“(My wife) and I enjoyed a delicious lemon shake-up, kettle corn, and ice cream all while having fun at the Adams County Fair,” he said on Facebook, quoted by the Reporter. “It’s a beautiful night and the sweet corn was excellent as well! Hope you have the chance to stop by for all of the wonderful things Adams County has to offer.”
The representative spent some time in Jacksonville as well.
"To my Jacksonville and surrounding area friends: I‘ll be visiting The Little Stove this coming Monday (July 11)," Frese said. "I would love for you to come out and chat with me. Looking forward to meeting you! And if you haven’t visited this delicious Jacksonville eatery, don’t wait. This is my not my first visit and I’ve enjoyed it tremendously."
