MDH Welcomes First Baby of 2023
The McDonough District Hospital Obstetrics Department welcomed the first baby of 2023 on Tuesday (Jan. 3).
Tyson Daniel Renken was born at 12:09 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 20 inches. He is the son of Jesse Renken and Shelby Thurman of Beardstown, and younger brother to Adalyn Renken.
Certified Nurse Midwife Mary Thompson assisted with the delivery. The family was presented a congratulatory “First Baby of the Year” gift basket from the MDH Obstetrics staff.
In the Obstetrics Department at MDH you receive personalized care and attention from highly trained, experienced staff in a warm, home-like setting. Three board certified Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Certified Nurse Midwife care for patients from pregnancy through childbirth and beyond.
