The Planning Commission meeting was called to order on April 17, 2023 at 6:00PM by Chairman Jack Chism.

1. ROLL CALL

Committee Members Present: Planning Commission Member Brent Shaw, Planning Commission Member Chance Vohlken, Planning Commission Member Dennis Warren, Planning Commission Member Eugene Holt, Planning Commission Member Jack Chism, and Planning Commission Member Jane Nelson

Committee Members Absent:

Staff Present: Inspector Jeff Ketten and City Clerk Jody Weiss

Public Present: Jerry Sauerwein

3.1. Minutes of:

A) February 27, 2023 Minutes Approval

Motion by Chance Vohlken, seconded by Dennis Warren, to approve

February 27, 2023 Minutes as presented.

RESULT: Carried

4. MATTERS OF CONSIDERATION - PUBLIC HEARING-OPENED AT 6:05 PM

4.1. A request from Kingsbury Park District to add “Maintenance Facility” as a Conditional Use in the Commercial Neighborhood (CN) zone to the Use Matrix, Table 153.0202(A) of the Unified Development Code

Motion by Chance Vohlken, seconded by Brent Shaw, add "Maintenance Facility" as a Conditional Use in the Commercial Neighborhood (CN) zone to the Use Matrix, Table 153.0202 (A) of the Unified Development Code

RESULT: Carried

4.2. A Conditional Use Permit to operate a maintenance Facility in a Commercial structure on Parcel # 05-10-11-219-001, commonly known as 335 N. Dewey St.

Jerry Sauerwein, KPD director, advised the bids close for the project on April 26. Construction will begin shortly after that. The house that is on the property will be torn down. He also advised that once the building is up, Public Works will install a sewer line to the building. Public Hearing closed at 6:11 PM.

Motion by Chance Vohlken, seconded by Brent Shaw, approve Conditional Use Permit to operate a maintenance facility in a commercial structure on Parcel # 05-10-11-219-001, commonly known as 335 N Dewey St.
