City of Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission met Nov. 7.
Here are the minutes provided by the commission:
The monthly meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission was held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, called to order at 5:30 p.m., in the Mayor’s Conference Room, of the Municipal Building.
Members attending were Aaron Scott, Steve Hardin, Bill Scott, Judy Tighe, Brett Haney and Jeremy Coumbes.
Members absent were Jim Stollard, Ed Killam, Rebecca Houston, Gary Morris and Rick Stevens
Motion was made by Steve to approve the minutes from the October meeting. Aaron seconded.
Committee approved requests from the following properties:
• 1153 West Lafayette
• 1430 West Lafayette
• 1047 West State
• 255 North Webster
Steve reported that Rebecca Houston was too busy to be on the commission.
Terms ending in December are Rebecca, Steve and Jim.
Discussion took place of recognition of buildings and houses in the future.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned with a motion by Bill Scott, seconded by Judy Tighe at 6:15 p.m.
The next meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission is Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.
