Western Illinois men's golf finishes seventh at Turtle Point Invite

The Western Illinois Men's Golf team concluded their fall season with a seventh-place finish at the Turtle Point Invite in Killen, Alabama. The team recorded a total score of 895 (+31), shooting 300 in the first and third rounds, and 295 in the second round.

Baptiste Labeyrie led the Leathernecks with a T30 finish at +4. He completed the tournament with 11 birdies, scoring four birdies each in rounds two and three, where he shot 73 (+1) in both.

Nathan Tillman closely followed with a T35 finish at +6. His performance improved throughout the tournament, starting with +4 in round one, +2 in round two, and an even par of 72 in round three. Tillman achieved two eagles and four birdies overall, including three birdies during the first round.

Other contributors to WIU's scores included Mateo Rascon (+8), Luke Lofgren (+15), and Owen Howe (+19).

With this event marking the end of their fall schedule, WIU's men's golf team will now shift focus to preparing for their spring season.
