The Western Illinois University men's and women's track teams are set to compete at the Musco Twilight Meet in Iowa City this weekend. The hammer throw event is scheduled for Friday, with the remainder of the meet occurring on Saturday.

In their previous outing at the SIUE Cougar Classic, the team delivered notable performances. The 4x100 relay team, consisting of Savannah Harvey, Aliyah Adams, Briza Dure, and Renee Raglin, set a new program record with a time of 46.58 seconds. This achievement surpassed the previous record of 46.76 seconds set in 1987 and was also the fastest time recorded at the meet.

Renee Raglin secured victory in the long jump with a distance of 6.22 meters. Aliyah Adams won the triple jump with a leap of 12.7 meters and placed second in the long jump with a mark of 6.01 meters. Savannah Harvey claimed first place in the 100 meters with a time of 12.39 seconds.

On the men's side, Arnie Grunert achieved a new program record in pole vault by clearing 16 feet, 7.25 inches, surpassing the previous record set in both 2005 and 2008.

Renee Raglin's performance has been consistently strong this season. She was recently named Ohio Valley Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week following her top finish in the long jump at the SIUE Cougar Classic with a leap measuring 20 feet, five inches—ranking as second-best in program history and leading within OVC this season.

Looking ahead, Western Illinois will participate in Des Moines' Drake Relays after their competition at Musco Twilight.
