The Western Illinois Women's Golf team is set to compete in the WIU Intercollegiate tournament at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, on April 5-6. This event follows their recent participation in the Butler Don Benbow Spring Invitational held in Oldsmar, Florida, where they finished in 11th place.

Notable performances from the previous tournament include Natalie Hooper and Gabriela Galindo Rubio, both posting +18 and finishing tied for 34th place. Hooper showed promise with a birdie on hole one and three consecutive pars during her first round. Galindo Rubio, playing as an individual, also recorded a birdie and followed it with 11 pars.

Olivia Kerr returns to the lineup after achieving a top-20 finish previously. Kerr completed back-to-back rounds of 79, ending +7 over the course of the 36-hole event. She displayed strong performance with two birdies in the first round and succeeded notably on the back nine during round three.

The competition includes teams from UNI, UNO, Green Bay, St. Ambrose, SDSU, and North Dakota. The TPC Deere Run course features a par of 71 over its 6,804-yard layout. Rounds one and two will take place on April 5th with round three scheduled for April 6th.

Western Illinois' starting lineup for this tournament consists of Olivia Kerr at position one followed by Natalie Hooper, Makayla Mussatto, Mia Scrimgeour, Abby Hunter with Hannah Butler participating as an individual.

Live statistics for the event will be available through Birdie Fire's platform.
