Western Illinois University's women's basketball team faced a challenging match against Cincinnati, resulting in their second loss of the season with a final score of 95-52. The Leathernecks showed strong performances in the first and third quarters, scoring 14 and 18 points respectively. Notable players included Raegan McCowan, who achieved a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Mia Nicastro, who also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Addi Brownfield contributed eight points.
The team's struggle from beyond the arc was evident as they made only four out of 21 three-point attempts. Defensively, they managed to force ten turnovers during the game.
Cincinnati's effective shooting played a crucial role in their victory.
