City of Bushnell City Council met Nov. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

Roll Call

Ald. Norton made a motion to approve the tax levy. Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows

Ald. Norton “aye”       Ald. Baker absent

Ald. Yocum “aye”       Ald. Promisson absent

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ald. Norton made a motion to waive the second reading of the tax levy. Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Havens “aye”      Ald. Burkholder “aye”

Ald. Norton “aye”       Ald. Baker absent

Ald. Yocum “aye”       Ald. Promisson absent

Ald. Allen “aye”          Ald. Webb “aye”

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

Approval of Minutes from November 4, 2024

Accept September Financial Report

Ald. Webb seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ad hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*The Governor will be here Wednesday noon @ Marshalltown Handle & Pack

*Mayor Wilt commented that the new fence uptown looks great

*The caucus is December 2, 2024 @ 6:30

*The Christmas light parade will be 12/7/2024 @ 6:00

*The Christmas Craft Show will be 12/8/2024 @ the VFW

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Next meeting December 5th @ 4:00 City Hall

Public Works

*Need an Ordinance for the Ameren Wholesale Agreement

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*The fundraiser for the Police Department raised $2532.00, this will go towards a piece Of equipment.

*Police Chief Hood introduced a new police officer, Kyle Protsman

*Jeff Rench with ESDA stated he updated the City’s Disaster Plan

Parks/Recreation/Real Estate

*Nothing to report

Engineering Report

*IMEG is working on the document for bids to remove Biohazards at the West Lagoon

*The Water source Protection Plan is almost complete.

*The Lead Service Line Inventory has been submitted

Economic Development

*The Health Department came to inspect the Depot

*The committee is decorating the Depot on the 20th.

MAEDCO

*Executive Director Kim Pierce state there is still interest in the Dairy Queen.

*The Kmart redevelopment should be up and going by March.
