Western Illinois University Women's Tennis Head Coach Luke Ogren has completed the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) CoachUp Credential Program. This program is a professional development initiative aimed at enhancing coaching skills and advancing collegiate tennis programs. Ogren was one of 49 coaches selected nationwide to participate in this six-month course.

The CoachUp program, launched in 2022, focuses on key areas such as Self-Mastery, Coaching Gen Z, Recruiting, Building a Championship Culture, and Empowering Your Program - Key Stakeholders. "I always want my student-athletes to be looking to improve every day," said Ogren. "If I want to be a good example for them, I need to work to improve as a coach daily as well."

Ogren has played a significant role in the development of the WIU women's tennis team since joining the university. His participation in the ITA CoachUp program highlights his dedication to enhancing the student-athlete experience and promoting collegiate tennis.
