The Western Illinois University (WIU) Track and Field team participated in the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame, Indiana. The event saw notable performances from team members, with school records being updated.

Lucas Beckmier competed in the men's 5000m race, securing the 24th position overall. He achieved a time of 14:36.27 seconds, which not only marked a personal best but also earned him the top spot in WIU's record books for this category. Robert Perry also participated in the same race but did not finish.

In the women's 5000m race, Madison Trevena completed her run with a time of 3:04.64 seconds, finishing 33rd overall and setting a new personal record.

The Leathernecks are scheduled to compete next at Iowa State University for the Iowa State Classic on February 8.
