The Western Illinois University Women's Golf team concluded their participation in the Jackrabbit Invitational on Tuesday, securing 14th place overall. The team finished with a total score of 948 (+84).
Olivia Kerr led the Leathernecks, tying for 44th place with a score of +16. Kerr's performance included a notable round three where she shot a 74 (+2), marking her best round of the tournament. Her first-round score was 76 (+4), featuring birdies on holes two, eight, and another par-four on the back nine. In round three, she achieved two more birdies.
Other contributors to the team's efforts were Mia Scrimgeour (+17), Abby Hunter (+28), Gabriela Galindo Rubio (+29), and Sophia Thorne (+33). Collectively, Western Illinois recorded their best team score of 310 in round three.
Looking ahead, WIU is set to host the WIU Intercollegiate in Silvis, Illinois, on April 4th and 5th.
