Leatherneck Men's Golf secures fifth place at Twin Oaks Intercollegiate

The Leatherneck Men's Golf team concluded the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate in Springfield, Missouri, securing fifth place with a total score of 870 (+18). Three players from the team achieved top-12 finishes: Nathan Tillman, Baptiste Labeyrie, and Mateo Rascon.

Labeyrie and Tillman both tied for seventh place, each finishing at +2 for the tournament. Labeyrie's strongest performance was in round three, where he began with three birdies and an eagle over the first eight holes, ending the round with a score of 69 (-2). Tillman's best round occurred during the first round when he made four birdies within the first five holes on the front nine, completing it with a score of 70 (-1).

Rascon finished tied for 12th place. His standout performance came in round two with five birdies leading to a score of 68 (-3), marking it as the best round overall for the Leathernecks who collectively scored 289 in that round.

Additional scores for the Leathernecks included Owen Howe at +11, Maverick Schwabe at +17, and Luke Lofgren at +22.

The WIU team is set to compete again on April 4th and 5th as they host the WIU Intercollegiate in Silvis, Illinois.
