City of Bushnell City Council met May 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Norton called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

Guest – Alan Thompson was inquiring about when the Police/Liquor committee are going to meet to discuss side by sides.

Guest – Jim Martin voiced his concerns about damage being done in the East park, garbage not being dumped, not getting mowed and speeding down Hail street.

Mayor Norton appointed Rene Ford to take over as alderperson for Ward 1. City Clerk Teresa Ebbert swore her in.

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

  1. Approval of Minutes from May 5, 2025
  2. Accept April Financial Report

Engineering Report

Ald. Havens made a motion to approve the application for grant monies for street improvement work on N. Washington Street. Ald. Burkholder seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve Amendment #1 for additional Services for the Lead line Survey. Ald. Allen seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Allen made a motion to move forward with the kitchen at the Depot for the price of $16,108.60. Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

*City Attorney Nick Tinsman will put together an ordinance for no parking of the North side of East Gridley St.
