Grace Kremer named OVC co-defensive player of the week for volleyball

Grace Kremer of Western Illinois University has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference on Monday.

Kremer played in all three sets over the weekend for the Leathernecks, competing against Murray State, Austin Peay, and Saint Louis. She recorded 15 blocks during these matches, including multiple six-block performances. In addition to her defensive contributions, Kremer posted a .250 hitting percentage against Murray State and improved to .444 against Austin Peay.

The team will continue its season this coming weekend with matches scheduled against Morehead, Evansville, and UAB.

"Grace was a defensive force this past week for the Leathernecks. Appearing in all three sets over the weekend against Murray State, Austin Peay, and Saint Louis. Over the weekend, she reached double-digit blocks with 15. Kremer tallied multiple six block matches over the second weekend. The Elkhorn, NE native was effective on both sides of the net as she hit at a .250 percentage in the match against Murray State and .444 against Austin Peay."

WIU looks to continue this weekend against Morehead, Evansville, and UAB.
