Western Illinois University Leathernecks women's soccer team will host Valparaiso and Omaha in upcoming matches at Macomb, Illinois. The games are scheduled for September 11 at 5:00 p.m. against Valparaiso and September 14 at 1:00 p.m. against Omaha.

The Leathernecks have completed seven matches this season, with a current record of one win and six losses. Their only victory came in the opening match against St. Ambrose, where they secured a 2–0 result. Since then, the team has faced six consecutive defeats, most recently losing to Purdue on the road.

Goalkeeper Ariel Bernard has played an important role for the team this season, making a total of 44 saves so far and recording 10 saves in the last game against Purdue. Bernard received an honorable mention for OVC goalkeeper of the week due to her recent performances.

On offense, Turner has scored both goals for Western Illinois this year during the match against St. Ambrose. Daoudi and McMurtrey have contributed to the attack throughout the season but missed the previous game; their return is anticipated by the team. Gularte has been leading the defense, while Bernard achieved her first career shutout in the opening game and has posted back-to-back games with ten saves each.

Valparaiso enters Thursday's match with a record of two wins, four losses, and one draw. The Beacons have not won any road games this season but maintain confidence from past performances against Western Illinois.

Omaha will be Sunday's opponent and currently holds a record of two wins, three losses, and two draws. The Mavericks recently lost to nationally ranked Oklahoma but showed moments of strong play during that contest. Defense has been key for Omaha early in their campaign as they prepare to face Western Illinois.
