Western Illinois men’s golf finishes 18th at SIUE Dolenc Invitational

The Western Illinois University men's golf team concluded its participation in the SIUE Dolenc Invitational, finishing 18th overall with a combined team score of 887 (+35). The event wrapped up on Tuesday afternoon.

Mateo Rascon led the Leathernecks, ending the tournament at +1 and tying for 38th place. His top performance came during the second round on Monday afternoon when he shot a 69 (-2).

Owen Howe finished close behind Rascon, recording a +4 and tying for 60th place. Howe's best effort was in the opening round, where he made several holes under par. Other contributors included Easton Korell (+11, T82), Maverick Schwabe (+22, 95th), and Nathan Tillman (+28, 98th).

The Leathernecks will return to competition on October 6th and 7th at the Windy City Classic in Chicago.
