Western Illinois University's men's soccer team played to a 0–0 draw against Incarnate Word on Thursday evening. The result brings the Leathernecks' record to 3-8-2 for the season, while Incarnate Word stands at 4-3-6.

Both teams created opportunities during the match, but strong defensive efforts and goalkeeping kept the score level. Incarnate Word finished with a 16–7 edge in shots and had six attempts on target. Western Illinois managed four shots on goal.

Micah Ramirez, a senior goalkeeper for Western Illinois, made six saves. Notably, he stopped shots from Incarnate Word's Emmanuel Martinez and Noe Robles in the first half. Ty Duax of Western Illinois came close to scoring in the 33rd minute, but his effort was saved by Alejandro De La Torre of Incarnate Word.

Incarnate Word increased pressure late in the game, earning five corner kicks. However, Western Illinois' defense maintained its composure to secure a clean sheet. There were no red cards issued; Incarnate Word received two yellow cards during the match.

This marks the second clean sheet of the season for Western Illinois. The team will continue its road schedule with a match against Houston Christian on Sunday at 3 p.m.
