The Godfrey Town Board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Doug Mueller on November 2, 2016 at 6:15 p.m. at the Godfrey Town Hall, 6810 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, IL.
Michael Stumpf moved for the approval of the minutes of October 4, 2016 meeting, seconded by Karen McAtee. Roll Call Vote: Ayes –McAtee, Springman, Stewart, Stumpf, Williams, Mueller. Nays – None, Absent – Johnes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF BILLS Mark Stewart moved for the approval of the October 2016 Township bills as follows:
General Fund $ 10,797.50 General Assistance Fund $ 3,188.56 Social Security Fund $ 0.00 Audit Fund $ 0.00 Insurance Fund $ 0.00 IMRF Fund $ 1,227.99

ASSESSOR OFFICE ACTIVITY Monica Star Jerrells, Assessor, presented the Assessor’s Office Activity for October 2016.
2016 TAX LEVY Supervisor Mueller presented several options for the 2016-2017 Township Tax Levy. After some discussion, the Board asked Supervisor Mueller his recommendation for the Tax Levy. Supervisor Mueller made the suggestion to keep the Tax Levy below five percent increase and will prepare a proposal with this consideration. The Board will consider the 2016-2017 Tax Levy at the next meeting.
BUDGET LINE ITEM TRANSFERS Supervisor Mueller reported on a line item transfer from the General Fund - Contingencies in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty dollars ($550.00) to the Telephone - Assessor. The adjusted appropriation would be Contingencies in the amount of One thousand Eight Hundred Thrity Dollars ($1,830.00) to the Telephone - Assessor in the amount of One Thousand Four Fifty Dollars ($1,750.00). Michael Stumpf moved for the approval of the line item transfer from the General Fund as submitted, seconded by Mark Stewart. Roll Call Vote: Ayes –McAtee, Springman, Stewart, Stumpf, Williams, Mueller. Nays – None, Absent – Johnes.
Supervisor Mueller reported on a line item transfer from the General Fund - Contingencies in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty dollars ($550.00) to the Telephone - Administration. The adjusted appropriation would be Contingencies in the amount of Two thousand Three Hundred Eighty Dollars ($2,380.00) to the Telephone - Administration in the amount of One Thousand Four Fifty Dollars ($1,450.00). Michael Stumpf moved for the approval of the line item transfer from the General Fund as submitted, seconded by Mark Stewart. Roll Call Vote: Ayes –McAtee, Springman, Stewart, Stumpf, Williams, Mueller. Nays – None, Absent – Johnes.

Notice is hereby given that the meetings of the Township Board of Trustees, Godfrey, Illinois will be held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:15 p.m., at the Godfrey Village Hall, 6810 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, Illinois, & notice is hereby given that the meetings of the Village of Godfrey Board of Trustees, Godfrey, Illinois, will begin meeting 5 minutes after the adjournment of the Township meetings. The second meetings of the Village Board of Trustees will be held on the 3rd Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Godfrey Village Hall, 6810 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, Illinois, for the purposes of transacting any business that may properly come before said meetings
