WIU employees invited to wear jeans and raise funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Money041

Western Illinois University employees can raise money for a good cause while wearing jeans to work on March 1.

WIU employees have been given approval to participate in the "wear jeans day" to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Being allowed to wear jeans is the prize for offering a minimum donation of $5.

The WIU Dance Marathon (DM), a student organization, is running a series of fundraisers all year for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. On April 1, the group will host a 12-hour dance marathon on campus, in honor of the 12-hour shifts many doctors and nurses work regularly.

Employees wishing to participate in the jeans event can make donations via tinyurl.com/WIUDMMJD or by paying with cash or check, payable to WIU Dance Marathon. Checks should be sent to Nick Katz, associate director of Student Activities and WIU DM adviser, c/o the Office of Student Activities (University Union).
