The City of Quincy budget was $70.09 million for its 2015 fiscal year, or $4,153.63 per household.

That's a decrease of 43.1 percent from 2014, when the city spent $123.26 million, or $7,304.19 per household.

Quincy has 16,875 households and a population of 40,633.

Since 2001, the City of Quincy budget has fallen by 31.3 percent, from $102.06 million. The city population has grown 0.7 percent over the same period, from 40,366.

Salaries accounted for 29.2 percent of city spending in 2015. Quincy property taxpayers paid $20.45 million for 315 full-time employees and 40 part-time employees.
