Midland FPD responds to four fires in 2016

Midland Fire Protection District responded to 25 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Midland included four fires - two structure fires, one vehicle fire and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $56,000 in fire loss - or about $14,000 per fire.

The department also received 21 false calls.
