West Central Reporter

Laharpe Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Laharpe included 13 fires - five structure fires, two vehicle fires and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $46,000 in fire loss - or about $3,538 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.
