New Salem FPD responds to four fires in 2016

New Salem Fire Protection District responded to 10 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in New Salem included four fires - two structure fires, one vehicle fire and one other fire.

The department also received six false calls.
