The calls in Hillsboro included five fires - four structure fires and one other fire.
In all, the department saw $960,000 in fire loss - or about $192,000 per fire.
The department also received nine false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian non-fire injury.
The Hillsboro Firefighter's Pension Fund, which has five active employees and three retired or inactive employees, was $61,136 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $12,227 for every fire in 2016.
