West Central Reporter

Nokomis Area Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Nokomis Area included 16 fires - 10 structure fires, three vehicle fires and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $253,700 in fire loss - or about $15,856 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries.
