Report: North Greene spent $10,303 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at North Greene Community Unit School District 3 is down 2 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Greene County school district spent $10,493 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,303 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 953 to 863.

North Greene's spending in 2016-17 was 21 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
