Western Community Unit School District 12 recently issued the following announcement.
WJHS and HS Student Councils have decided to take on a Recycling Rally for the 2018-2019 school year. We will be using Pepsi Co Recycling program which allows us to earn points and redeem them for prizes for the various schools/classrooms.
The program will start September 1, 2018 and continue until the end of April 2019. We will be collecting aluminum cans and plastic bottles for the recycle rally, but we will also have bins for paper as well.
Ms. Hechler and Mrs. Seals will provide recycling bins (trash bins) in the cafeterias, teacher lounges, outside of the gyms, and on the softball and baseball fields within the next weeks so we can start recycling over the summer and hopefully get ourselves into the habit of recycling instead of throwing away.
